Harvest Caye Cruise Port

HARVEST CAYE, BELIZE

Are you visiting Harvest Caye with Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, or Regent Seven Seas Cruises? Are you looking to escape the private cruise company island and experience actual Belize? If so, we've got the perfect option for you!

Placencia Beach Club is Placencia's only public-access beach club. Simply book the Placencia Village Ferry from your on-board cruise excursion desk, let us know when you will be arriving, and we'll meet you at the pier when you arrive. We can either take you on the 1 mile walk through Placencia Village, or whisk you straight to the Beach Club on our golf cart. If you'd like to make the walk yourself, take the sidewalk directly in front of you as you exit the pier and follow it until it ends. The beach club is the white building on the beach. There will be signs to guide you once you are about halfway, but it is nearly impossible to get lost!

Once here, we'll help you settle into a comfy chair on the beach or around the pool, and get you started with a rum punch or other beverage of your choice. Spend the rest of your day swimming in the Caribbean, sampling the local, craft beers at the swim-up pool bar, or just napping under the swaying palm trees. Our friendly team members will stop by every so often to check if you need anything. At the end of your day, we'll load you up on the golf cart and take you back to the ferry in time to return for your cruise departure. The end to a perfect day relaxing in Belize on the edge of the Caribbean.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Now that you've decided to give Placencia Beach Club a visit, you probably have questions. Most likely we've heard them before and have answered them below. If you don't find the answer you need, you can always message us on Facebook or send us an email.

As soon as possible after boarding your cruise, visit the on-board excursion desk. You will want to book the Placencia Village Ferry and request the earliest ferry time (usually about an hour after the ship's arrival). Once you have your ferry booked, drop us a quick email so that we can arrange to meet you when you arrive.

Once you are docked at Harvest Caye and have disembarked the ship, follow the signs to the island's pier and check in with the ferry operator. Let the operator know that you will be spending the day at Placencia Beach Club and would like to arrange to come back on the latest returning ferry from Placencia.

The ferry takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Placencia. When you arrive, look for one of our team members wearing a Placencia Beach Club shirt. We'll handle everything from there!

We would suggest that you bring some cash along with you. Especially if you choose to walk with our team to the Beach Club. US Dollars are accepted everywhere here (you can also use your credit card at the Beach Club). Oh yeah, don't forget your swimsuit. That is why you are coming to the Beach Club after all! You may also choose to bring a change of clothes in case you don't want to ride the ferry back in a wet swimsuit.

SUNSCREEN... DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN.

At Placencia Beach Club we like to keep things simple. You will be charged $10 BZ ($5 US) per person for your use of the beach club and the trip to and from the pier. Beyond that, the only additional cost will be whatever food and beverage you decide to enjoy while you're here.

This will easily be the cheapest excursion you will enjoy on your cruise!

Yes! Everyone in Placencia accepts US Dollars using a 2 Belize Dollars to every 1 US Dollar exchange rate. Think of it this way, if you spend US Dollars everything is half off for you!

One word of warning. When paying with US Dollars you will likely receive Belize Dollars as change. There is no easy way to convert these back to US Dollars once you leave Belize. We will attempt to give you change in US Dollars, but are not always able to do so.

First, this is a very typical reaction. You are not alone. However, the best thing to do is finish your cruise and then come back and spend a week, or longer, in Placencia on your next vacation.
